The treatment of recurrent parathyroid cancer is generally surgical removal of the primary tumor , with or without removing the lymph nodes , or debulking the tumor to reduce the production of parathormone. Under investigation are the combinations of surgery with radiation therapy , radiation therapy alone, as well as chemotherapy .
